Fees, medicare and private health rebates

The first appointment is $300and may run from 50-70 minutes. Subsequent psychology sessions are 50 minutes long and cost $260 per session. This is less than the current APS recommendation of $300 per session. Medicare rebates of $131.65 are available with a valid referral from a GP. Referrals are for a maximum of six sessions of a time and are limited to 10 sessions in a calendar year.

Full fees will need to be paid at the time of the appointment.

Groups fees depend on the length and duration of the group. Please see the relevant page or email for more details. Groups tend to be a cost effective way of learning valuable psychological skills and tools and are designed to be informative and engaging.

Medicare claims can be processed by the practice and the rebate will be returned to your bank account usually within three working days.

​

Both individual and group sessions may be claimed via private health depending on the individual policy. This can be discussed with the private health provider and will need to be claimed by the individual.

​

A GP referral is not needed to attend psychology appointments or groups, it is only needed if you wish to claim a medicare rebate.
